Dilek Peninsula National Park is situated on the Aegean region in the province boundries of Aydın, townships of Kuşadası and Söke. This area of 10.895 hectares has been set aside as a national park in 1966. National park contains almost ali of M editerrenian regions species vvhich grovvs in Castanetum and Lauretum zones. The most suitable grovving conditions for Calabrian and black pines, phoenician juniper, Holın oak, Kermes oak, Yalonian oak and Hungarian oak; Italian cypress, Svveet bay, Cretan maple, Silver ünden, Elm, Common havvtharn, Carob and Judas trees and Mediterranean maquis are the prevalent flöre of the peninsula.
